Day Five
Eric: Is this 1)pain medicine? It looks like aspirin.
Amy: It's Tylenol. That's the one they use the most in hospitals in the US. It seems to be the one most people in the US buy, too. It's not hard on your stomach.
Eric: And this one? This one says Tylenol PM. Does that mean you take it at night?
Amy: That's got 2)allergy 3)relief medicine in it. It makes you 4)drowsy. I actually used that on the plane to help me sleep, ha-ha.
Eric: Good call. There's another one there – Tylenol cold and flu?
Amy: Oh yeah. I needed that because I got a pretty bad cold. You take that at night. It 5)relieves pain and stops fever. But it also helps with your cough. You just pour the 6)powder in hot water.
Eric: Ha-ha – like taking Chinese medicine.
Amy: But I brought you some of these. They are 7)packets of 8)vitamins and 9)minerals that you add to water. See the label? It says just add to water and watch it 10)fizz. Take it up to three times a day.
Eric: What if I get hooked on all your stuff? What do I do when I run out?
Amy: It will be a good excuse to take another trip to the US! We can go together next time!
第五天
艾瑞克：這是止痛藥嗎？看起來很像阿斯匹靈。
愛咪：是泰諾。美國飯店大部分都用那個。那也好像是美國最多人買的藥。它不傷胃。
艾瑞克：這個呢？上面說是泰諾夜用型。意思是晚上吃的嗎？
愛咪：那是緩解過敏症狀的藥。會讓你昏昏欲睡。其實我是在飛機上服用，好幫助睡眠，哈哈。
艾瑞克：好方法。還有一種──泰諾感冒型？
愛咪：喔對啊。我需要那個是因為我得了重感冒。那也是在晚上吃，有鎮痛和退燒的效果，還可以治咳嗽。只要把粉倒進熱水就可以了。
艾瑞克：哈哈──好像在吃中藥喔。
愛咪：不過我還幫你帶了這個。一包一包都是給你泡水喝的維他命和礦物質。看到標籤了嗎？上面說只要加水，看它嘶嘶起泡就可以了。一天吃三次。
艾瑞克：萬一我用妳的東西用上癮了怎麼辦？我用完了該怎麼辦？
愛咪：那是再去美國一趟的好藉口！下次我們可以一起去！
