| Mei: Like Pecan pie…that's too sweet for me.
Brad: Now that's where Asians and Americans differ. We think sweets have to be sweet. That's why they're called sweets.
Mei: I guess you're right. Here's my favorite American sweet—the 1)brownie.
Brad: And there are the cookies. We love our cookies. In the Brady Bunch, the kids always came home to milk and cookies. They represent Mom's love.
Mei: My stomach hurts. I can't believe I tried everything.
Brad: I told you you needed to 2)pace yourself.
玫 ：像胡桃派……對我來說那太甜了。
布萊德：那就是亞洲人和美國人不同之處。我們認為甜點就是要甜，所以才叫做「甜」點啊。
玫 ：這樣說也沒錯。這是我最喜歡的美式甜點──布朗尼。
布萊德：還有這些餅乾。我們美國人喜歡我們自己的餅乾。在《妙家庭》一片中，孩子們總會回家喝牛奶吃餅乾。它們代表媽媽的愛心。
玫 ：我胃痛了。我不敢相信我什麼都嚐過了。
