Xinyi: Actually, I think Americans are more patriotic. It's kind of scary.
A-jun: Really? Do they look like they would 1)go to war or something?
Xinyi: A little bit. You'll see. We have to wear patriotic colors when we go—red, white and blue.
A-jun: Just not red by itself. We don't want to 2)get jumped because they think we're 3)communists.
Xinyi: You have a point.
A-jun: OK, let's go do a little shopping while it's still daylight.
阿俊：美國國慶跟台灣的雙十節差不多嗎？
心怡：其實，我覺得美國人比較愛國耶。愛國得有點可怕。
阿俊：真的嗎？他們看起來像要去打仗還是什麼的嗎？
心怡：有一點。明天你就知道了。我們得穿愛國的顏色出門──紅、白、藍。
阿俊：不能只穿紅的就是了。我們可不想被誤認為共產黨員而被毆。
心怡：有道理。
阿俊：好，那我們就趁天還沒黑，去買點東西吧。
