Nolan just got back from another conference, and he calls Maggie in to his office.

Nolan: Good morning Maggie.
Nolan:早安,Maggie。

Maggie: Morning! It's good to see you again. How was the conference?
Maggie:

Nolan: A waste of time. I don't even want to waste a second discussing it.
Nolan:

Maggie: Okay. Sorry for asking.
Maggie:

Nolan: That's alright. I would like you to take a look at the marketing plan that I've just finished drafting. It's only a rough draft, but I'd like you to take a look at it and give me some feedback.

Maggie: But you're the marketing director. I'm only a manager.
Maggie:

Nolan: That doesn't mean anything. I've learned that the more feedback you get, the better everything is. So, please take a look at it and let me know what you think.

Maggie: Wow! I'm so impressed. I guess that guest speaker at the conference had a lasting impression on you.

Nolan: Sometimes you have to swallow your pride to be successful in life.
Nolan:

Maggie: I'll have a good look at it and give you my opinion by tomorrow afternoon.

Nolan: Great! I feel confident that 2007 will be a year of change!
