An Australian family who took in a stray Doberman had their kindness paid back tenfold when the rescued pooch saved their toddler from a deadly snake.

The dog named Khan jumped into action when he spotted a king brown edging toward 17-month-old Charlotte. He picked up Charlotte by nipping her diaper and tossed her over his shoulder by more than a metre.
這隻叫「可汗」的狗，看到一條棕伊澳蛇慢慢逼近17個月大的夏綠蒂時，隨即採取行動。牠咬住夏綠蒂的尿布，把她叼起來，從肩膀上方將她往後丟了逾一公尺遠。

可汗反被那條棕伊澳蛇咬了一口，這種蛇是全球第三劇毒的蛇。
Charlotte's mum Catherine said： "He saved her life by risking his own. If I had not seen it with my own eyes I would never have believed it."

She said the family had only had Khan for four days, and they were moved by Khan's selfless and protective act.

Khan received a shot of antivenom from a vet and the family nursed him through the night. He has since made a full recovery.

toddler：名詞，學步階段的孩童。toddle，動詞，以短而不穩定的步伐行走，像初學步孩童般走路。
