Grammar Relief (part 2 of 5)
減輕學文法重擔 (五段中的第二段) Like any kind of practice, grammar exercises can seem boring. But they prepare us to deal with real situations in a foreign language. Grammar structures and rules are not disconnected, but form patterns and groups. For example, transitive verbs need an object, but intransitive verbs don't. Understanding this rule will help you learn the difference between verbs like raise and rise, or lay and lie. 就像其他任何一種練習一樣,文法習題讓人覺得無趣。可是這種練習幫助我們在真正使用外語時可以應付不同的狀況。文法架構及規則不是沒有關聯的,他們形成文法類型及分類。例如,及物動詞需要受詞;不及物動詞則不需要。了解這項規則將幫助你分辨像「舉起」(raise)或「站起來」(rise);「平放」(lay)或「躺下」(lie)這些動詞的不同。 |
