Talk into 說服
| 說服某人做（某事） 說服別人去做一件事，除了用persuade這個動詞外，還有個更簡單的talk someone into...後接動詞加ing；若是要「說服某人不做（某事）」則是用talk someone out of...即可。 |  |

| After the parade is over, driving towards Santa Monica
Wei: I'm hungry. Let's 1)get some grub.
Fang: What are you 2)craving? I'm in the mood for something 3)greasy and salty.
Wei: That's easy then. Let's get a burger. My classmate who lives here said to try In-N-Out Burger.
Fang: But we're going to Santa Monica. Shouldn't we just eat there?
Wei: But there must be an In-N-Out burger on the way.
Fang: I bet the food in Santa Monica costs an arm and a leg anyway.
Wei: Wait! There's one right off the highway. Exit here and we can turn back!
在遊行結束後，開往聖塔莫妮卡
薇：我餓了，找點東西吃吧。
方：妳想吃啥？我想吃點又油又鹹的。
薇：那很簡單。吃漢堡吧。我住這兒的同學說可以試試IN-N-OUT漢堡。.
方：可是我們要去聖塔莫妮卡耶。不是應該在那裡用餐嗎？
薇：但路上一定有IN-N-OUT漢堡。
方：反正我猜聖塔莫妮卡的餐點一定貴得要命。
薇：等等！高速公路旁就有一家。從這裡出去，我們可以再回來！ | |
