Vicky：您好，這裡是 "Cheapcall International" 客服部。您有什麼需求嗎？
Kevin：I'm trying to reach my friend overseas using this prepaid phone card I just bought. Oh yeah, if it makes any difference, I'm calling from a payphone.
Kevin：我正設法使用我剛買的這張電話預付卡聯絡我國外的朋友。對了，不一樣的地方是，我是從公共電話打進來的。
Vicky：For your information, there are instructions for how to make an international call on the back of your phone card. However, I can help you this time. I will need your friend's phone number starting with the country code, area code and the local number. But first, I need the password and PIN on the back of your phone card.
Vicky：您可以在電話卡背面找到如何撥打國際電話的指引。不過，這一次我能幫您。我需要您朋友的電話號碼 ─ 由國碼開始，然後區域號碼以及和當地電話號碼。但首先，我需要的是您電話卡後面的帳號和密碼。
Kevin：Ok … let me see … the password is 9856023894 and the PIN number is 56237.

Vicky：I'm sorry sir, it seems that the value of your card shows a zero balance. If you wish to make a call you will need to give me a credit card number to add time to it.

Kevin：But I just bought this card! How could it not have any time on it? I'm definitely not going to be paying for it a second time. Oh, just forget it; I'll just call my friend collect.

"Dialogue 1" 相關實用句型：
1. ...starting with the country code, area code and the local number...（由國碼開始，然後區域號碼以及和當地電話號）
當我們要教人家打國際電話時，一定先會說「國碼」與「區域號碼」的英文：country code 與 area code 。例如：When you're in Taiwan and you'd like to call your friends in Guang Chow, you're supposed to dial 002 - the international code, 86 -the country code - and then 20 - the area code.（當你要從台灣打電話到廣州時，你可以先撥台灣國際冠碼 002、大陸國碼 86 以及廣州區碼 20。）
2. It seems that the value of your card shows a zero balance.（您卡片的儲值似乎是零。）
value 表示「值」，例如「股票市值」是 "the value of stocks"、「美元的幣值」是 "the value of the dollar"、「（數學）絕對值」是 "the Absolute Value"、「面額」是 "face value"... 等。balance 一般多指「平衡」，但在此表示「餘額」，例如，「帳戶餘額」是 "account balance"。

Vicky and Kevin have just arrived at Hong Kong Disneyland...
Vicky 和 Kevin 剛到香港迪士尼樂園…
Vicky：Honey! Thank you for coming with me to Disneyland. It means so much to me.
Vicky：親愛的，謝謝你跟我來迪士尼樂園。這對我來說意義深遠。
Kevin：I'm glad you're happy, but I can't believe we just forked over $3,000 NT at the ticket booth to get these two day passes.
Kevin：我很高興你感到愉快，但我不敢相信我們竟花了 3,000 元台幣拿到這兩天份的入場券。
Vicky：Oh, I'm sure it will be worth it. There's so much to see and do here. Like I said, Selina and her boyfriend came here last month and they had a blast!
Vicky：噢，我相信這是值得的。這裡有好多可以看和做的事呢！像我說過的，Selina 和她的男朋友上個月來這裡，他們玩到快瘋掉!
Kevin：Is that the girl with the complete collection of Disney mini figurines from 7-11? She's a complete nutcase! It must have taken her forever to find all of them.
Kevin：是那位從 7-11 便利商店蒐集整套迪士尼迷你玩偶的女孩嗎？她太瘋狂了！這一定花了她很多時間去找。
Vicky：Actually, her boyfriend gave them to her as a gift. He found the complete set on the Internet including the carrying case. You see some guys know how to treat a lady.
Vicky：實際上，是她男朋友送的禮物。他在網路上發現了整組，包括手提包。你看有人就是知道如何對待女孩子。
Kevin：Ok, ok. I got it. You know I'm trying to be more romantic. That's why we're here, isn't it? So, let's stop wasting precious time and go explore the Magic Kingdom together!
Kevin：好了，我知道了。你知道嗎，我正學習當個浪漫的人，所以我們才會在這裡，不是嗎？既然如此，我們停止浪費寶貴的時間吧，趕快去探索這個魔術王國！
Vicky：Now you're talking my language! I can't wait to take photos with Mickey and Minney; Snow White and Cinderella; Winnie, Tigger and Piglet; all the Disney characters!

Kevin：According to the map, the Main Entrance is on the right. Then, we pass through Main Street U.S.A. before reaching the Main Plaza. At that point, we can choose to go to Adventureland, Fantasyland or Tomorrowland. Where would you like to start?
Kevin：地圖上顯示，大門是在右邊。然後，我們在到達大廣場之前，會通過美國大街。那時候，我們可以選擇去冒險世界、幻想世界或明日世界。你想從哪裡開始？
Vicky：Well, I have it all planned out. First, I want to go to Fantasyland to take photos. Next, we can go to Adventureland. The Jungle Cruise and Lion King Show both look good.

Kevin：That's pretty ambitious but, looking at the map, I think we should be able to see most of it in a day. We might have to leave Tomorrowland for the future though.

"Dialogue 2" 相關實用句型：
3. It means so much to me. （這對我來說意義深遠。）
說明：以句子結構來說，"so much" 作主詞（It）補語，"to me" 是副詞片語，修飾 means。相反地，「這對我而言意義不大」可以用 "It means little to me." 或 "It doesn't make any sense to me." 來表示。
4. Now you're talking my language!（我也正有此意！）
說明：這裡的 talk 作及物動詞，相當於 speak；「說我的語言」即是指「和我所說的話一樣」，也就是「正合我意」。類似說法還有 "Now you can say that again!"。
