Henry and Shirley are classmates. It is the Mid-Autumn Festival, and they are enjoying a snack together.
Henry 和 Shirley 是同班同學。今天是中秋節，他們正在一起享用點心。
Henry：Hey! I'll trade you one of my sweet bean moon cakes for one of your pineapple ones!
嘿！我想用我的甜豆月餅跟你換一個鳳梨月餅！
Shirley：No way! I like sweet bean, but the pineapple ones are my favorite!

Henry：Mine too! I just can't get enough of them. I wish my family bought more of them, and less of these stupid sweet bean ones.

Shirley：What's the matter? You don't like sweet bean?

Henry：Yuck! I can't stand sweet bean. I've always hated it! Now I've got five of these sweet bean moon cakes and I can't even stomach one.

Shirley：Well, I'm not giving you any of my pineapple ones, but I'll tell you what. You give me your five sweet bean moon cakes, and I'll give you two of my jujube paste ones.

Henry：Hmm… Make it three and you've got a deal.

"Dialogue 1" 相關實用句型：1. I'll trade you one of my sweet bean moon cakes for one of your pineapple ones!

trade 通常指「貿易」之意，當名詞。但 trade 當動詞時，有「交易」的意思。其慣用句型為 "to trade sb. A for B"，表示「用 A 與某人 交換 B」。

Halle and Sam are friends. They are taking an evening walk together in the park.
Halle 和 Sam 是朋友。他們晚上一起在公園散步。
Halle：Gosh! Look at that moon! It's so big and beautiful!
哇靠！看那月亮！又大又美！
Sam：Well it ought to be! We're only two days away from the Mid-Autumn festival. It's only fitting that the moon should be prominent.
喔，本來就那樣啊！現在離中秋節只有兩天。這時候本來就會看到皎潔的明月。
Halle：Wow! You're right! I'd forgotten all about the festival. Do you have any plans?
哇！你說得沒錯！我完全忘記這個節日了。你有任何計劃嗎？
Sam：Yeah, I always have a barbecue with my family. We sit out on the roof, eating grilled beef and pork, and just enjoying the evening.
有呀，我總是會和家人一起烤肉。我們坐在外面的屋頂上，吃烤牛肉和豬肉，並享受晚間的時刻。
Halle：Wow, it sounds like such a peaceful time.
哇，這聽來像是個平安的時刻。
Sam：Well, it's a good night to just stay in with your family. To me, the Mid-Autumn Festival is about being grateful for what you have. I feel I've been blessed in this world, and I have a lot to be thankful for.
喔，這是一個與家人一起待在家裡的好夜晚。對我而言，中秋節是對於自己所擁有的抱以感恩。我覺得我來到這世上受到庇祐，且我要感謝的事很多。
Halle：So do I. We both have wonderful families. You know, last year I was in America for Thanksgiving. This year, Thanksgiving falls around the same time as the Mid-Autumn festival. It strikes me that the two occasions are quite similar.
我也一樣。我們都有完美的家庭。你知道嘛，我去年在美國過感恩節。今年感恩節與這裡的中秋節差不多時間。這突然使我想起兩種類似情況。
Sam：Well, both festivals celebrate the harvest. Traditionally, this has always been a time to give thanks. Food is plentiful, and life is good.

Halle：Hmm… You have an interesting philosophy! So where do the moon cakes come in?

「一段時間 + away from + 一個時間點」表示「離... 還有一段時間」。注意：這裡的主詞為「人」，但不能翻成：「我們」離中秋節只有兩天。3. It's a good night to just stay in with your family.

動詞片語 "stay in" 表「待在家裡或室內」。例如：
The doctor advised him to stay in for a whole week.
