Around the World -1 Live Earth Concerts Criticized 「活樂地球演唱會」挨批
The Live Earth concerts held this July in New Jersey, Washington, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, London, Hamburg, Tokyo, Shanghai and Sydney were planned to raise awareness about global warming. And they did raise awareness, as well as a few voices of protest.
The event, organized by former US Vice-President Al Gore, featured many 1)big-name performers including Madonna, The Police, and Duran Duran, but it drew a lot of criticism for its 2)excessive carbon footprint.
今年七月，在紐澤西、華盛頓、里約熱內盧、約翰尼斯堡、倫敦、漢堡、東京、上海及雪梨等地舉行的活樂地球演唱會，原意是欲喚起世人對全球暖化的意識。結果他們確實喚醒世人，但也招致不少抗議的聲浪。
這項由前美國副總統高爾籌劃的盛事有許多大牌明星參與，包括瑪丹娜、警察合唱團、杜蘭杜蘭，但它因留下太多「碳足跡」（二氧化碳排放量），也引來諸多批判。
