Richard: What really makes Shoex unique is what we call the "hybrid" 1)mentality. We believe that in today's international business environment, one has to combine the 2)strengths of many different cultures.
Mack: That sounds like an interesting concept. But what does it really mean in 3)practical terms?
Richard: Our designers are from Italy, and through their 4)contacts in Milan they have their fingers on the pulse of the latest fashion trends.
Mack: That's important for us. Our shoes are inexpensive, but they can't look cheap.
Richard: We import our leather from Australia. It's not quite as nice as Italian leather, but it's much cheaper, and after using our 5)sophisticated 6)treatment processes it looks almost exactly the same.
Mack: I do admire the 7)sheen that your leather has. It looks expensive.
理查：真正讓Shoex與眾不同的是我們所謂的「混合」精神。我們相信，在今日國際企業環境中，一家公司必須結合許多不同文化的優點。

馬克：那對我們來說很重要。雖然\我們的鞋子不走高價路線，但也不可以看起來像廉價品。
理查：我們的皮革是從澳洲進口的。那不像義大利皮革那麼高級，但價錢便宜很多，而在我們精密的加工處理後，它看起來幾乎跟義大利的一樣。
馬克：我真的很欣賞你們皮革的光澤。看起來很高檔。
