Lin: So what's the difference.
Henri: For one, the Seine is a river. How can you pretend you're at the beach if all you see are cars, busses and skyscrapers? You need water. And what if there's a typhoon? There'll be a sandstorm in the city!
Lin: No, they've already looked into that. They'll just cover the sand up with plastic. I think it will be great. Hot summers, afternoon showers, girls in bikinis…it'll make a great beach.
Henri: Girls in bikinis?
Lin: Of course. I even bought a new one today.
Henri: You know what? I'm thinking maybe it's not such a terrible idea after all.
林：所以台北和巴黎的沙灘有何差別？
亨利：首先，塞納河是條河。如果放眼所及都是汽車、公車和摩天大樓，你怎麼可能假裝自己身在沙灘？水是一定要的。還有萬一颱風來襲怎麼辦？市裡會出現沙塵暴的！
林：不會啦，他們已經考慮到這點了。他們會用塑膠套把沙蓋住。我認為那樣很棒。炎熱的夏天、午后雷陣雨、比基尼辣妹……那會造就一個很棒的沙灘。
亨利：比基尼辣妹？
林：當然啊。我今天甚至買了一件新的呢。
亨利：你知道嗎？我想這個構想或許沒那麼糟。 | |
