Sometimes you may have strong feelings against an idea or opinion. Although it is difficult, you can disagree directly if you handle it in the proper way. Try phrases from the following list to help. It's usually best to include a reason for opposing what the other person has said. (Formal) I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. I strongly disagree. I refuse to believe that . . . (Informal)No, that's wrong. You're dead wrong. A: Hawks and eagles are similar kinds of birds--both are large birds of prey and come from the same classification or "family." Both come from the family "Accipitridae." The eagle is characterized by a powerful hooked bill, keen vision, long broad wings, and strong soaring flight. The hawk is the name for smaller members of the Accipitridae family. Hawks have short hooked bills and strong claws adapted for seizing.
