Secretary: No. He has a class now. Ernest: I need to schedule a meeting with him. Is he available this afternoon? Secretary: Let me look at his calendar. It appears that he's booked through Friday morning. How about Friday afternoon? He has a 30-minute slot open at 4:30. Ernest: I have speech class until 4:30, but I can stop by after that. Secretary: Sounds good. I'll pencil you in. Please call some time Thursday to reconfirm your appointment, though.
