Jack: What are those books they're selling there?
Lou: Those are the 1)game programs. They have pictures and 2)stats of the players, and information about the team.
Jack: (Pointing to a book title) "The House Ruth Built." What's that about, 3)Babe Ruth?
Lou: Yes, that's a nickname for Yankee Stadium. They say it was built because the Babe's homeruns were drawing so many spectators the owners needed to make more seating.
Jack: I think I'll buy a few hats here.
Lou: If you wait until after the game I can show you a place across the street. They have the same hats for a lot less.
Jack: Great!
Lou: OK, so waddaya want? A cold hot dog and a flat beer?
Jack: Huh?
Lou: [Chuckles] Never mind…just an old joke.
Jack: OK, well a beer and hot dog sounds good.
Lou: Excellent choice. And hey, these are on me. It's time we paid Taiwan a little something back for our star pitcher.
[Sounds of the crowd cheering]
Jack: What's going on? Has the game started already?
Lou: No, look out there. 4)See the big-screen TV? I think some guy is proposing.
Jack: How romantic! Where's my beer?

傑克：那裡賣的是什麼書啊？
路：是球賽秩序冊。裡面有球員的照片和資料以及球隊的資訊。
傑克：〈指著一本書的書名〉《魯斯建的屋》這本書在講什麼，貝比魯斯嗎？
路：沒錯，那是洋基球場的別名。據說要建這座球場是因為貝比的全壘打吸引太多觀眾，使得老闆得增建座位才行。
傑克：我想我會買幾頂帽子。
路：如果你等到球賽打完，我可以告訴你對街的一個地方。他們有同樣款式的帽子，但便宜得多。
傑克：太好了！
路：好，所以你要來點什麼？冷掉的熱狗加沒氣的啤酒嗎？
傑克：啥？
路：〈咯咯地笑〉別在意……只是個老掉牙的玩笑。
傑克：好，啤酒加熱狗聽來不賴。
路：選得好。嘿，這些我請。台灣給了我們明星級的投手，我們也該報答報答了。
〈群眾歡呼聲〉
傑克：發生什麼事了？比賽已經開始了嗎？
路：不，你看那裡。看到大螢幕了嗎？我想是有某個傢伙在求婚。
傑克：多羅曼蒂克啊！我的啤酒呢？ |
