Mumbai's top civic body is shaming employees to keep its corridors and stairways free from spitting, an official said.

Offenders will find their photographs, names and titles on bulletin boards at the headquarters of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corp., the top civic body responsible for sanitation standards and the upkeep of the city's roads and buildings. They will also be fined 200 rupees （US$5; euro4） each, R.A. Rajeev, an official, said.
違規者將會發現他們的照片、姓名、職銜公布在大孟買區市政廳總部的公告欄上；市政廳既負責制定衛生標準，也負責維修市區道路及大樓。官員拉吉夫說，違規者還會被處200盧比的罰款（約5美元；4歐元）。
One worker already has become "Spit Employee of Today" since the start of the campaign on Monday, Rajeev said.
這項作法在週一展開後，已有一名員工登上「今日吐痰員工」榜，拉吉夫說。
The move came ahead of a cleanup drive in Mumbai, India's financial and entertainment capital, beginning in November, Rajeev said.

"People spit and litter if they think no one is watching. When we put up these photographs, everyone will know," he said.
「員工如果以為沒人在看，就會隨地吐痰、亂丟垃圾。當我們把照片張貼出來後，大家都會知道（他們做了什麼事）。」他說。
Mumbai is one of India's filthiest cities. Piles of garbage litter main roads and people can be seen spitting while walking on public roads.
孟買是印度最髒的城市之一。大馬路上就可以看到成堆的垃圾，隨處可見民眾走路時隨地吐痰。
