Mei: I think the idea of afternoon tea represents a certain lifestyle, one of enjoyment and relaxation. It's a feeling of status.
Brad: I'd say so. Americans don't really take time for that kind of lifestyle.
Mei: Well, they might if they knew what it would add to their lives.
Brad: So how are you going to 1)entice them?
Mei: Well, I know Americans love the all-you-can-eat concept.
Brad: Uh, yeah. That's why we're all buying plus-sized clothes.
Mei: And I think it's also the feeling of getting more for your money.
Brad: I find it rather sick myself… so low-class.
Mei: Just wait. You're right. Most all-you-can-eat places in the US aren't very 2)high-end. But in Asia, the five star hotels offer a high-end version.
Brad: A high-end all-you-can-eat afternoon tea? That sounds so 3)bizarre to me.
Mei: It's fantastic. And I think Americans would love it.
Brad: You'll have to tell me more…
