There are two new movies out about two classic children's books, Charlotte's Web and The 1)Tale of Peter Rabbit. These books might not be familiar 2)yet to many readers in Taiwan, but they are known and loved by 3)generations of American and British children.
The movie Charlotte's Web is 4)based on the American book by the same name. It tells the story of a little pig named Wilbur, who is the smallest pig in his family. Mr. Arable the farmer wants to kill Wilbur because he is too small and weak and will just 5)cause trouble. His daughter Fern stops him, though, and says that she will take care of Wilbur.
有兩部與兩本經典童書──《夏綠蒂的網》和《彼得兔的故事》──有關的電影上映了。許多台灣讀者對這兩本書或許不是那麼熟悉，但好幾世代的英美兒童可是對它們知之甚詳、愛不釋手呢。
電影《夏綠蒂的網》是依據同名的美國書籍改編而成，故事說的是一隻名叫「威布」的小豬。威布是家中最小的豬，因為個兒太小、身體虛弱，只會帶來麻煩，農人阿拉波先生很想把他殺掉。但女兒菲恩阻止了他，還說她會負責照顧威布。 | |
